Sheena Chohan, noted model and actress is hosting the second season of ‘Bangladesh Premiere League 2013’ (BPL 2013) that commenced on 17th Jan 2013.
The second season commenced on the 17th of Jan 2013 with the final to be played on the 19th of February. Matches are being held in Dhaka, Chittagong and Khulna. The matches will be shown on ESPN, Star Sports & Star Cricket in India and across the globe. Pakistan Geo TV will broadcast the matches and Al Jazeera will telecast the tournament in the Gulf region and the feed will also be seen in North America.
Being the face of ‘Bangladesh Premiere League 2013’ for the second time, Sheena was a part of the opening ceremony as well and reported live from the stadium during every opening match and award ceremony. In addition to this, Sheena is also a part of in studio interviews that takes place every day with various cricket legends after every match.
Talking about her association with BPL, Sheena Chohan said, “It’s a privilege to be associated with an International sports extravaganza like BPL. In 2012, I had an excellent time connecting with the audience, share their journey of learning as well as present this journey in a more enjoyable and intriguing manner. As an actress, Sheena received rave reviews for her performance in the Malayalam film ‘The Train’. She played the leading lady opposite south superstar Mamotty and was appreciated for her interesting character. Very soon Sheena will sizzle on the silver screen with an ambitious project based on the works of noted Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore to be directed by a prominent poet and a contemporary filmmaker, Buddhadeb Dasgupta. The Hindi movie is a tribute to the India’s first Nobel laureate and will mark a milestone in Sheena’s career. Sheena will portray the lead roles in two of the thirteen short Hindi films in the series titled Mukti and Patralekha.
Sheena Chohan is also former Miss Kolkata, a trained contemporary dancer and one of the title winners of Miss Universe India “I am voice” at I AM SHE, 2010 beauty pageant. This sizzling beauty has been mentored by the glamorous Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen and is a State level swimmer, martial arts expert and trained violin player. She recently has been chosen as ‘The Face and the National spokesperson’ for the NGO “Youth for Human Rights International – India”.
